Shadow, Sadie and Princess Sparkles
On a typical day at Doggie Heaven Hotel, you’ll meet a crew of big dogs. Not for any reason in particular, it just tends to be the regular clientele.
But one recent summer weekend, I ended up with only three dogs (besides my own), all of which were female, and all of which were the same size…tiny!
I felt kind of like Gulliver, or Dorothy in the Wizard of Doz (get it?)
It turns out I LOVE tiny dogs. You can walk a whole gaggle of them at a time, and you barely feel it when they pull!
At play, they become cartoon characters tearing around in fast-motion. You can’t help but laugh hysterically while watching them. And the rest of the time, they are outrageously cute and cuddly,
But they also kind of freak me out, because I am constantly worried I might accidentally sit on or step on one of them. Now I know why people stuff them in their purses: they are easier to keep track of there.
Technically, dogs aren’t allowed on the furniture at Doggie Heaven Hotel, (a.k.a. my house), but really, how can I not let those cute little furry critters on the bed at night?
I just hope I don’t wake up one day all tied up by Doggieputians….
Talk about bringing your work home with you...!
I LOVE this post. The tiny girls were outrageously adorable. You've documented the weekend so well!
