Let’s get out of the car now.

O.K., c’mon girl.

Let’s go Daisy, let’s go.

Everyone's out of the car.

Come Daisy.

 

5 minutes later:

Daisy, come on girl, let’s get out of the car.

C’mon Daisy, let’s go.

 

15 minutes later:

Daisy, I’m not going to drive anywhere, so c’mon out of the car girl.

O.K., Jump c’mon Jump! 

Jump down! 

 

45 minutes later:

  Daisy, wake up, come on out of the car, let’s go girl c’mon out.

 

Hmmm.

 

I hour later:

Hey, I know, how about a shower? 

Everyone can have a shower.

  Time to towel off and relax.

Sammy, We Miss You

Sammy 3-15-97 - 6-20-11 

Eight years ago, I spotted a beautiful white lab running around the field at my son’s school.

School was out and the kids were at some after-school function. 

I approached the owner of the dog, a pretty willowy brunette. Her name was Sheila. We started talking about her dog Sammy and to this day Sheila and I have remained good friends. 

Last year when I started dogsitting, Sammy was my first guest at Doggie Heaven Hotel. He and his sister Gemma stayed with me for several weeks while Sheila packed up her house and moved to Southern California.

I was devastated to lose Sheila but I felt close to her during the whole process through the care of her dogs. Shelia and I stay in touch and even get to see each other once in a while. 

I was sad to hear the news that Sammy died yesterday. He was a very special dog to Sheila and her family, and to me.

As all dog-lovers know, one day he’ll be waiting on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Take care Sammy, we miss you.

The Bachelorette—Yawn

Look I don’t want to throw any more doubt or insecurity Ashley’s way, but I have to be honest here.

This season’s Bachelorette is the most boring EVER.

Look what it did to Zoe: Can’t you just see it in her eyes?

If Zoe could talk, this is what she’d say: “Good God, if I hear that poor pathetic Ashley mention that A-----e Bentley one more time, I’m going to bite Chris Harrison’s head off for letting that creepy McCreep on the show in the first place.” 

Poor Zoe. 

Janice and I had to soothe her with chicken strips and pig’s hooves after the show.

 

Love at First Sight

I spotted him outside the restaurant where I was sharing coffee and anecdotes with a couple of my girlfriends.

He was young and beautiful with big brown eyes and wavy auburn hair. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. I wanted to run my fingers through his hair, bury my face in his soft tresses breath in the scent of his freshly groomed locks. I couldn't stop staring.

“Chigiy, you’re such a freak. You’re always staring at dogs. We stare at guys—and women with cute shoes—and you’re always looking at the dogs.” Said my friend Kim. 

O.K, it’s true, but look at Cooper.

Cooper goes very well with my decore.
