Moondoggie looking for the perfect tree

Hey, if you still haven’t procured a Tree—and you live in on near Los Gatos—and you have a dog (or dogs), go to Black Road Christmas Tree Farm.

I took my family to Black Road Christmas Tree Farm on our yearly trek to get a Tree, and this time we decided to bring Moondoggie. I just figured the folks at the farm wouldn’t mind if I brought my dog on a leash.

And Moondoggie so loves adventure.

We drove into the empty muddy parking lot, it had been raining, and we piled out of the car. I put Moondoggie on leash and started discussing with the family which way would provide the best path to the best trees.

About this time, the owner stepped out of his little cozy shed, which resembled an outhouse/ticket booth. I had spoken with this gentleman before several times and he always proved to be the reason we would return the next year.

This year was no different.

The second words out of his mouth after “How are you?” and “Merry Christmas!” were, “Hey, you don’t need to have your dog on a leash here, dogs just love to run around this place. Go ahead and let her off her leash.”

He was right.

Moondoggie had a better time finding a tree than the boys did.

We will definitely be back next year.
